Georg Steinhoff

Dr. Georg Steinhoff received his MSc in physics from the Technical University of Munich, Germany, in 2001. His PhD thesis on wide-badgap semiconductors was prepared at the Walter Schottky Institute, Technical University of Munich. After a year as a research associate at the University of Linköping, Sweden, he joined the BMW AG in 2007 as a material development engineer for electrical and electronic components. Since 2014, he is working in the BMW battery technology research department led by Dr. Peter Lamp, which investigate potential candidates and technologies for future lithium-ion and post-lithium automotive battery cells. He currently leads the group “Development Components, Integration and Validation Battery Cell Technology”.
